Project Complete - The dam project is complete and all is back to the way it was.

Guys 30 year mark BEAST FEST - This 2019 will mark the 30th year that all the men that grew up together and some went to school together will be camping at Pymatuning State Park. We are bringing in younger Nephews, and some Cousins to keep this alive for many years to come. What a great camp ground. Our moto is, If you go away hungry, it is your own fault. We cook all the fish we catch and smoke Briskets, many Racks of ribs. Also make Breakfast and lunch the entire time we are there. Just a great place to camp.

Beautiful Pristine Waters - We kayaked the Gorge on the Fourth of July early in the morning. The cool waters are refreshing and tree cover provides shade to enjoy the day. This location gets crowded on weekends and holidays. We were the only ones in sight at 8:00am.

unhappy restrooms lost - I went to the meeting to save the restrooms. The state highway department had already made up their minds. They closed the restrooms since they were pit toilets and were being used for immoral purposes. The highway department maintained the restrooms and said people did not use them much anymore but went to businesses. I argued that some people traveling still used them to no avail

quarry trail - My daughter and I hiked the trail to the quarry on Feb.18th. The scenery was terrific; we felt the trail needed a lot of maintenance and we found it difficult to follow in several places, even with the orange blazes. Perhaps not enough people use it?

Not one of our favorites - The structures at Oak Hill Trails were very picturesque, they Oak Hill trail was a mess. The opening to the trail had very loose soil and medium sized stones that moved with every step. They could cause a real serious foot or leg injury. The trail was difficult to follow, the signage was poor. There appeared to be two paths one for trailers and one for horses. From what we could tell the horses were all over. Large amounts of dropping and heavily battered areas from their footing that forced use into the heavy over growth so we could continue. We were not sure what plant life like poison ivy was obtainable. I believe we traveled about half the trail because the soil became to filthy with more horse droppings and large ruts. I was true disappointed in what we saw. It could have gotten better but the risk was getting to great and we retreated and left the park. We have visited 4 state parks this year and yours for us rated the worse

- The park was very clean, the camp store host was very kind and informative. The restrooms were clean. The entrance to the park and campground was also beautiful.
