Okay for one night - Swamps are impressive. Restrooms are awful, no soap and probably not cleaned since days, at least the floor in the showers.

Breton Island Was Man Made - My daddy, Kenneth J.Breaux, helped build Breton island for the oilfield industry. Kerr McGee Petroleum was the principle builder. For a few decades, it was the largest man made island in the world.

PGA Zurich Class Golf Tournament 2016 - This is a very convenient location to view, or participate in the 2016 PGA Zurich Classic Golf Tournament. A quiet, safe, comfortable park, within 2-3 miles from the TPC New Orleans.

Great Family Time - We really enjoyed getting together with family all in one place. The only concern we had was the amount of towels left for us for a two-night stay in a cabin for 10 people. We had to purchase some.
The best place to grow up. - I was born and raised out there by my grandparents who worked for the Laccassine Company. So many wonderful memories from childhood.

Great Family Outing - Great time with family, rented pavilion # 3, everyone loved that it was screened in. Came with cleaning supplies but did not need them, they had already clean it for us. which was great. Plenty of room for everyone. Wish there was a stove in there. The one thing everyone complained about was after dark the only lights on the outside was one dim light. It was pitch dark out there. Had to turn on car headlights to load up cars. Will defiantly rent again. Everyone at park was helpful and polite.

Not clean. Poor Management - All the camping pads were covered with pinestraw and leaves. And there is 2 host that look like they have been living there. Have stuff scattered everywhere. TRASHY.

A truly wonderful state park. - This is not only a beautiful place, the park seems to be very well maintained. We camped there in our RV for several days. The park manager, Steven Welch, was extremely welcoming and helpful. Laurie, the curator of the Otis House gave a very informative and interesting tour. We so enjoyed our stay in Fairview State Park. We will tell others and make plans to return there.

First time Visitor - This was my first visit to this park and we really enjoyed the tour! Lots of information. The tour guide was entertaining. He answered all of questions. After the visit my kids kept discussing the things we saw and now are super interested in checking out other historical landmarks in Louisiana.

- I have loved the hunting. I only use my small four wheeler to get a deer out. I am aged with physical issues and new rules will force me hunt by the road.
