Best vacations - My parents took my brother and sister and myself for three day getaways to lake cacapon back in the late 50s and early 60s these were some of my greatest memories of that time I hope cacapon last forever
Beautiful Park! Wonderful Service! - My family and i stayed in one of the Cabins. It was in a beautiful location on a hill, and spotless! We saw raccoons, deer, and chipmunks up close. We cooked on the grill and spent quality time together enjoying the wilderness. We are looking forward to going back. This is a great place to go and unwind!
Childhood memory - I picnicked in this park about 55 years ago at a family reunion. Even as a young teenager I was impressed by the massive pine trees. It was absolutely lovely. I only wish my health allowed me to return, but at least I have my memories to treasure. This park is a must see. Make the effort. It .is well worth it.
Cass Scinec Railrod - we stayed in the company home at Cass R.R. it was very nice would do it again. the train ride was cold but beautiful enjoy the Shay engines who pulled and pushed us up the mountain. I applaud the state for saving the railroad for all the world to enjoy

Great fishing and lots to do and see in all directions.
This is no longer a park - I used to love Mont Chateau State Park, but the state of WV closed it down as a State Park and it now houses the State Geological offices among other things. Beautiful piece of land right on Cheat Lake
