Before the turn of the century, West Virginians were drawn to the natural beauty of the Middle Fork River and its surroundings. This area is now Audra State Park, a heavily wooded riverside campground that continues to awe visitors.
Camping
The campground consists of 65 tent and trailer sites, two bathhouses with modern facilities, and a centrally located playground. There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers. A dumping station is located nearby.

Each site has a picnic table and grill.

There are no reservable campsites at Audra State Park. All sites are first-come, first-served.
Swimming
Audra State Park offers a natural swimming area in the Middle Fork River with picturesque overhanging rocks and clear waters. Swimming is unsupervised, so visitors swim at their own risk; there are no lifeguards on duty. The river's water levels can vary, affecting swimming conditions throughout the season. Picnic areas nearby provide spots to relax after enjoying the water.
Boating
Kayaking:

Whitewater enthusiasts enjoy boating the Middle Fork River. This activity is permitted at your own risk. To check the water flow in real time, visit the USGS water resources page. Choose the Monongahela river basin and then check water flows for the Middle Fork at Audra, WV.
Fishing
Nestled along the Middle Fork River, visitors can enjoy fishing for smallmouth bass, trout, and catfish. Catch-and-release is encouraged.

Audra State Park offers scenic riverside picnic spots with tables and grills. Covered pavilions are available for reservation.

park review stars; one to five Lovely ,clean campground. We drove 8 hours here from Pennsylvania. But it was worth it. We will come back next year. We recommend it to everyone.

park review stars; one to five Our family has gone there for years. There are great campsites right on the river that are really big. Great trails! Fun to swim in the river!. Water is clear except after rain.

Located in the northeastern part of the state, Audra State Park is 6 miles east off US 119 and 15 miles east of Buckhannon off Rt. 33 at Talbot Road. Follow the signs to the park.
