closing early - this park used to be open until the end of September..Now closes early in September. Many fall campers would still like to camp later in September. what needs to be done to keep this campground open?

Not well managed - We stayed here for 2 nights in early August. The facilities are run down, in disrepair, and not appealing at all. Campsite boundaries are not clear, had another small popup set up almost on top of our table and fire ring when we arrived. The campground did not enforce rules regarding the number of campers, tents, or cars at a site. The attendant was not at all helpful in finding the closest available water. She appeared to be preoccupied with something other than getting me checked in and settled.

Great Experience - This park was a great find. The hike was only 3 miles but with the changes in elevation it was about 3 hours long. We will be back to do that hike again, and maybe check out other parts of the park as well.

No Cell Service - Wanted to stay here, but absolutely no cell phone service (not even Canadian companies), only for those who want to completely escape the modern world.

Third time to camp, always leave happy! - Very clean, great access to attractions yet feel like you are in a secluded area. Facilities are close by and well maintained. The view from the lakefront is amazing on a clear day; beautiful sunset at night.

courteous Staff members. - After visiting the CCC Museum and leaving the park, noticed keys to my car which was parked in Sidney was missing. An in charge staff member quickly and politely came to my aid as we traced my movements about the area with his final suggestion being to check the the entrance to the auto I was riding in.there they were partially hidden under the seat on the passenger side. God Bless him , he saved my day t hanks so much!!!!

reservations - We have stayed in that park several times.IT IS NOT RIGHT TO HAVE RESERVATIONS.who ever makes them donot know what they are doing.we got there on a thursday afternoon and were told we could only have 2 nights.in the loop we stayed there must have been at least 20 empty sites.i have a veterns acess pass and that did not matter.we could only have a site for 2 nites that all the sites were reserved.in the morning the sites were still empty.having to wait a month to get a discount for the acess pass is rediculous.it should be first come first serve.nys needs to make a better way to serve the people who want to use the parks.

Our favorite park to camp at - Have camped there for 5yrs and really enjoy doing it, they have clean sites and nice cabins. We really enjoy camping there on our vacation. Just really wish that we could swim there also instead of having to go elsewhere to go swimming they should open their beach again, we do believe that people would enjoy the park and come more if they could swim. But it is still a nice park to go to.

Canadian Secret - 2012 will be our third summer at the park , in a cabin we LOVE it and please remember that the cabin will only be as clean as the person before you left it.If everyone was considerate to the next person it would not be a problem. We are from \canada and this is our hidden secret. We are keeping to ourselves and not telling everyone about the little peace of heaven we have found.
