The Old Growth parts of the forest are a good metaphor for this whole park. A visit here is a way to visit the area's roots. To see the trees a bit like they once were. Remember, this whole state was named for...more

A suggestion - Would there be any way the park would ever consider side by sides on the trails It could be a fund raiser for the park certain days of the year and snowmobiles ride the trails in the winter.

Great for a caterpillar track vehicle - Love this very beautiful park, but oh the roads are just awful. Always such a bone rattling expedition once you leave the area around the office.

Lake - weed bed summer of 2017 - They waited to long to treat the lake and was a weed bed all summer of 17. A fishing boat motor was useless due weeds and open fishing spots were few and far between. Shore fishing was impossible all summer. Management is in question for sure. Regulation enforcement lacks in the park also. Speeding a big issue. Overpopulation in the shelters with very loud music is another issue. This park just keeps getting worse!

We got married here in 1983 - This is one of the most beautiful parks I have seen. I love the covered bridge and the Grist mill. I am coming back this spring to relive this memory. My husband passed away last month but he loved this park. We came here one more time after we got married and loved every minute of it.

Camp Here Often - Love this state park for its beauty and natural setting. The only negative comment I have is drivers go way to fast in the camp grounds. My girlfriend was almost run over by a speeding New York driver and his trailer.

My English teacher almost died there - My English teacher was teaching us about hooks when she told us that he got lost there and was out of water and energy. She said it was her most frightening experience of her life.

A great state park to go anytime! - Pinchot State Park has something for everyone year round. Fishing, sailing, biking, swimming, nice lakeside trail, camping, horse trails friendly park staff and rangers. We love this park. The food at the Concession Area provides amazingly great food (pizza, hamburgers, fresh cut fries) ~a real secret. Throughout the summer, we would go there just to have a bite and enjoy the scenery. Go there to relax, picnic, BBQ, or just to work remote or get away from the norm...

6/26/2017 10:44:28 AM Keystone State Park by camperchar
The best State Park - I found Keystone when some of my kids were just toddlers and we all loved it. We camped in a tent, first time on site #7. So many vivid memories, the kids playing in the woods (down the hill will bring you back to the campground), trying log rolling, swimming, catching minnows and they all learned to paddle a canoe and most important of all they learned to love and respect nature. Later, I camped by myself and painted in the lovely woods, the trilliums bloomed just for me. My husband and I fishing, hiking, photographing mushrooms. Keystone has given me so much happiness - and still more to come.

Amazingly quiet - The park is beautiful for a day trip, or a week long camping trip. The rustic cabins are just that, rustic! Campgrounds are scattered all over the park from full RV hookup to tent camping areas with no hookup at all. Wildlife is all around, deer, bear, snakes and all other small creatures. Lower lake is great for viewing the eagle flying around. Keep dogs on leash and you will be fine. We have been there at least five years in a row, and we love it! Liz & Bill
