Camping & Fishing - The convenience of Bluewater Lake to homes on the So. Side of lake. What happened to the park on the So. side of the lake? We want to continue to use the lake on the So. side. Why is the gate closed to the property on the So. side of the lake by the main part of the lake? I camp at the lake and I do not want to drive all the way around to the No. side of the lake to camp or fish.

Great time - I had the chance to visit on May 24...My son and I had a wonderful time looking at all the plant life and animals. The price of admission was a refreshing change!!! This is a MUST see on any vacation to the Carlsbad area!!!

Great park - I would like to commend the park Rangers at Fort Sumner Lake. They were willing to answer questions, friendly and professional officers. I have seen Rangers that seem to not really want to talk to the public. These guys even come around the next morning and hauled off our trash when we were packing up. Professional officers. Thanks guys for being great officers. Stay safe!

Father / Son trip memory for a lifetime - A wonderful magical, mystical place. Hiked all over the place. Did some fishing..Great campsites, fresh cold water. The people of Questa are so friendly.. Met the supervisor of the fishery, super nice guy. The guys at the visitor center could not have been more helpful. I will go back again one day.

Will be back for summer catfish - Great time. Park Ranger, Paul, really made the stay enjoyable. Enjoyed the turkey and deer.

fisher men with no place to fish - a lot of people bought there fishing license but no where to fish it feels like we,ve been reaped off for the third year in a roll $39 for three years is about $117 thrown to the wind not right.

Great value! - We originally were just going to spend 2 nights here passing through but found the park and area so beautiful that we ended up staying 10 days. We stayed in both the reserved section and the first-come-first-serve and had wifi at both sites. On-site manager was very friendly and the park staff was helpful with changing our paperwork when we wanted to stay longer. Beautiful area and great hike down to the river. I would definitely stay here again. (We stayed here in a Class A 32 foot MH in January 2013).
