Great value! - We originally were just going to spend 2 nights here passing through but found the park and area so beautiful that we ended up staying 10 days. We stayed in both the reserved section and the first-come-first-serve and had wifi at both sites. On-site manager was very friendly and the park staff was helpful with changing our paperwork when we wanted to stay longer. Beautiful area and great hike down to the river. I would definitely stay here again. (We stayed here in a Class A 32 foot MH in January 2013).

Lake is very, very low as of 06-18-13. - Lake is very, very low. Did not see one boat on lake or see anyone trying to fish. I would not recommend visiting the park until there is a lot of much needed rain.

Spectacular scenery - worth the trip! - My husband and I were exhausted after Day 4 of our road trip to the Grand Canyon. We found Villanueva State Park on the map and decided it was just the place to rest our weary bones. After the long drive to the State Park off of I-40, We must say it was well worth the trip! The Park was very quaint and the scenery was breathtaking. It has been one of the highlights of our trip!

Swimming Beach - Oasis State Park does not have a swimming beach as no swimming or wading is allowed. Pond is for fishing only. Also, there is no primative camping, however, there are 10 developed tent sites and 13 developed sites with electricity.
