Where did our park go - Kit Carson Park was a great family park. Now it is just for music events and is trashed. Grass slowly disappearing Parks are for public use not just for money making ventures

Park Named after an Enemy??? - As a retired military officer, I think naming this park after an enemy of the United States is disgraceful. And embarrassing to the state of New Mexico

Learned so much! - My son and I stayed overnight at Rockhound on the way from Texas to Tucson. The park host, Marilyn, gave us lots of information and advice about the specimens we could look for in the park. Marian, in the Visitors Center answered all our questions. She even suggested a reasonably-priced rock shop to polish up our finds. Rockhound is a unique stop with a great staff and the nicest bathrooms we have seen in a campground!

Beautiful lake--still beautiful? - Love Heron Lake--used to visit and swim each summer. Wondering if drought has caused lake to dry up, June 1, 2018? How much mud do we have to wade through to get to the water?

A little gem in the desert - Poncho Villa State Park is a great place to visit with a nice visitor center/museum. Combine your visit with a stop at The Pink Store 2 blocks across the border for some good food and margaritas. As far as the hater reviews.... they should just get over it, history happens!

It appears to be closed! - We tried to visit the park today (8/25/17) and the gate was locked. Also, it looks like the facilities are derelict. Is this park actually open any more?

It gives your soul rest - We have enjoyed Lincoln National Forrest for the last 50 years. From the time I was a little girl until now. It is beautiful and peaceful. I love the Pine Lodge side. It makes my soul happy and now I get to live there
