This is one of our favorite parks - We love coming here they trails are kept clean and clear. The only major complaint is the restroom and showers. Even after they have cleaned them they are still dirty. The walls are or would be easy to clean if they ran a large scrub brush over walls. But only use power washer on walls that are on one side. So any dirt, bugs, spiders, or other things are left. This is the worst part and I am staying during the week and it is slow.

Horse trails - The trails where nice pretty well marked. The only thing is it would be nice to have a map that showed the horse trails so you knew where you were at.

Place family wants to return again - Son and family came from PA to stay in cabin #6. Park and pool were nice and clean. Mornings were free to bike ride, afternoons to swim and evenings to reminisce. David Phillips and all the staff were just exceptional. Look forward to a return visit. Hope some of the recent monies from the state will help restore the dams for the lakes.

Murphy family reunion - Murphy family reunion was at the Inn on June 10. We had good food and most especially great service from our waitress. Thank you for a delightful experience !!

Peaceful - We go here every year, my children love that the playground is right next to our campsite. We do to as we can see them the whole time we are at camp. It is nice to know right where they are. We always stay at site 178. The only thing I do not care so much for is the bathrooms and the bird poo on the beach. Other than that we love to go out onto the old rickety dock and fish. Sit and watch our children play in the water. And truly enjoy our family time together. Last year was the first time I had seen trash in our pit, but we ask someone to come clean it out and they did. It is the people sometimes who stay there that are not taking care of the property and after awhile I am sure there is just so much the park staff can do to get it all done.
why cant we camp there anymore ? ? - they are taking camping away, from there, call to change there minds, or we will loose it ! ! !

electric at camping sites - I would love to see electric hook ups at Ferdinand forest. With more people camping every year, this would be a great opportunity for this park to grow. The income would be a blessing to a park that has become less popular through out the years.

Lots of fun but CROWDED - The toboggan track attracts so many people that some days the wait is 2-3 hours. The staff needs to be better at informing people of the expected wait time so people can plan accordingly.

Narrows Bridge, Cinton, Indiana - I have an oil painting of this bridge located on the East side of Turkey Run State Park. Built 1882 over Sugar Creek 1 span(?) Burr Arch 121 feet. It was painted by Lorene McDonald of RR3 Clinton, Indiana 47842 Box256, near her home. I have no other information. would like to offer it to local Museum or family of interest.

Nice, but disappointing - Beautiful park, but was very disappointed when we rented a shelter, but then had to each pay money at the gate. We drove in from Ohio, so had to pay more than those that live in Indiana.

Great Staff - We arrived at our non electric camp site that we reserved to find it had no trees at that camping space. We had hammocks and envisioned a different experience. My daughter talked to the person staffing the entrance shack to camping and that person let us know which sites were not reserved and let us look at them and pick the one we wanted. The staff member was super nice in helping us have a better camping experience, she was very nice and seemed sincerely concerned about our request. We are so thankful to her for making our weekend great.

A first time visitor... - The information was very interesting and the decor and exhibits in the visitor center were well planned. The park overall is sadly in need of a do-over. Outdoor signage is faded and difficult to read. Paths are not easy to figure out. Indoor exhibits of artifacts need to be cleaned, fallen items replaced, and new acrylic covers purchased for those that are missing. The lighting in part of the exhibit fades in and out making it difficult to read. I was sad that Indiana allows these conditions to represent our state.
