Florida Parks Visitor Reviews

A Wonderful Experience - Every time we come over to this side of Florida, we love to stop into this one of a kind park and visit. This year we took the golf car tour with our friends who also loved our time in the park. It was a wonderful experience.

Mr. Charles, your Park Host - Our stay the past few days certainly was relaxing. Mr. Charles welcomed us with a warm heart and a nice smile to,begin our day. Due to the after-hours phone remaining unanswered, my husband had to spend the night in the truck at the closed gate. Moral of this is make sure you pack the blankets.

nice park but not for swimming - Interesting things to do but definitely not set up well as a beach. There is absolutly no sand ,you must lay on a thin layer of pebbles, also you cannot walk in the water very far because of the rocks

Wonderful! - Visit all day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds and bathroom facilities were very clean and well kept. we enjoyed the nice bike trails and awesome beach and even seen some deer feeding on the dunes. Looking forward to visiting again when can camp and stay longer.

Great Bike Trails - Single track trails through the forest provides a good workout. Diverse scenery including a cool bridge over a Cypress stand. Lightly used.

Not enough trails - Better access to the interior of the park is needed. There is not enough trails in the park. With 40,000 Acres the park should have Hiking trails, Mountain biking trails and possibly equestrian trails as well. Hiking and biking trails leave little foot print and would allow for far more access to the interior for bird and animal watching. Not everyone is able to kayak into such areas. Trails would also make evacuation and rescue easier for anyone who got lost or got stranded by low tide.

We used to go all the time.. - back before this was a State park. Back then it was just called Mineral Springs. To us Miami natives that water sure was cold! Wonder if the banana palms are still growing by the spring. There was a small alligator that sometimes got into the top lake and chased everyone out. Great memories of a wonderful time and place to grow up.

question? - I have been told that you have art shows at some time in the year. Is that true? If so, how do we get on your list? Thank You.

best in florida - have been there several times and each time I see the water or the lighthouse differently. God has enjoyed making this place more beautiful everytime I see it.

Quiet, relaxing, and enjoyable - We stayed here for 3 days in February. It was just so quiet. Nice campsites are spread out so you have privacy. Convenient if you want to attend the Strawberry Festival. Nice hiking.
