Bogachiel State Park is a thickly forested 127-acre camping park on the banks of the Bogachiel River. It is remotely located on the northwestern tip of Washington state. It isn't the end of the world, but you can see it from there. So goes a popular Northwest saying about this vicinity. The remote park, located on the tip of the Hoh Rainforest, abounds in lush vegetation.
Nature of the Area
Plant Life The park is situated on the tip of the Hoh Rainforest. Lush rainforest terrain is formed from the dense rainfall 140-160 inches per year that occurs in this region.
History of the Area
The park was established in 1931. Due to a lack of funds, State Parks entered into an agreement with the Bogachiel Commercial Club and the Forks Chamber of Commerce to jointly operate and manage the area as a public park. State Parks began staffing the park in 1961.
Passes

Camping
The campground offers 26 standard sites, 6 sites with power and water, one dump station and two restroom buildings with showers. One kitchen shelter without electricity is available to campers.

The park accommodates RVs and combinations of 40 feet or less in length.

The park has one group camp for tents. It provides a covered shelter plus two sheltered and two picnic tables. The camp accommodates 16 to 20 people.

The park provides three picnic tables in the upper day-use area. The lower day-use area has a kitchen shelter with electricity, lighting, a large grill and three parking spots, all on a first-come, first-served basis. A restroom is nearby.
Trails
1. Bogachiel Rain Forest River Trail: This trail is approximately 14 miles long and offers a moderate hike through the lush rainforest, following along the banks of the Bogachiel river.

2. Ira Spring Wetland Trail: A short but scenic half-mile loop that takes hikers around an enchanting wetland area filled with diverse plant life and wildlife sightings.

3. Hoh-Bogachiel Loop: An extensive 27-mile trek combining parts of other trails in both Bogachiel State Park and neighboring Olympic National Park for experienced hikers seeking multi-day adventures.

4. Undi Road Interpretive Walkway: A paved path suitable for all skill levels featuring informational signs about local flora, fauna, history, making it perfect for families or those interested in learning more about this unique ecosystem while hiking.

5. Spruce Nature Trailhead to Five Mile Island via South Fork Hoh River Trails: It's a moderately trafficked out:and-back trail located near Forks offering beautiful wildflowers during springtime hikes; also known as one of Washington's best bird-watching spots due to its rich biodiversity.

6. The Hall Of Mosses And Mini Rain Forest Circuit: These are two separate yet interconnected easy-level loops within close proximity totaling just over a mile combined length showcasing some stunning old-growth forest scenery including moss-draped trees creating surreal landscapes reminiscent from fairy tales stories.

7. Bogacheil Peak Summit Route: This challenging uphill climb rewards brave adventurers who reach top with panoramic views across park stretching towards Pacific Ocean on clear days.
