2. No lifeguards are on duty, so visitors swim at their own risk.
3. Swimming is not allowed in marinas or boat launch areas for safety reasons.
4. The park's clear waters make it ideal for cooling off during hot summer days.
5. Visitors can also enjoy water sports like snorkeling and diving besides regular swimming activities here.

Boating
Navajo Lake in New Mexico offers a range of boating options for visitors. The lake spans over 15,000 acres and has three marinas: Pine River Marina on the east side; Sims Mesa Marina on the west side; and Two Rivers Marina at its southern end. These facilities provide boat rentals including houseboats, pontoon boats as well as fishing boats.

The park also features numerous launch ramps for private vessels with two located near each marina while others are scattered around different parts of the lake shore. Both motorized watercrafts like speedboats or jet skis and non-motorized crafts such as canoes or kayaks are permitted under certain safety regulations.
Fishing
Anglers can enjoy fishing in a large reservoir, home to various species like rainbow trout and kokanee salmon. Other fish include brown trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass and channel catfish. Boat rentals are available for deep water excursions or shoreline casting is an option too.

Location
Navajo Lake State Park is located near Aztec, Bloomfield

Picnicking
Navajo Lake State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables and grills. Some sites also have shelters for shade or rain protection.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can explore miles of trails, but caution is advised due to varying terrain and potential wildlife encounters. The park offers both paved paths for leisurely rides as well as challenging mountain bike routes. Always wear a helmet and carry water when biking in the area; temperatures can rise quickly. Be aware that some trails may be shared with hikers or horseback riders - always yield right-of-way appropriately. For those seeking an off-road experience, there are numerous dirt tracks available too.
