KINGS BEACH STATE PARK
Kings Beach State Recreation Area features Ponderosa Pine and small brush covering the park's 700 feet of lake frontage area. This day-use only area is popular for water sports during the summer.
Located in North Lake Tahoe, the park was named after Joe King who acquired land there in 1925. The area became popular for its large sandy beach and recreational opportunities. In 1973, California's Department of Parks and Recreation took over management to preserve it as a public space.
