10/9/09:Posey is a very small island with two campsites just north of San Juan island and just outside Roche Harbor. We selected Posey because of the easy access from Roche (we had an 1st time sea kayaker). The sites had a fire pit and a picnic table. There is an outhouse but no water. Posey is by no means a wild island. There are plenty of vacation homes just across the water on Pearl Island. Battleship Island (just NW of Henry) was a short paddle with good wildlife viewing (seals, otter, eagels, kelp forest). Access from Roche is not far and the waters covered are sheltered.
