Anglers can enjoy freshwater fishing in the park's lake. Species include bass, perch, and salmon among others. Fishing licenses are required for those aged 17 or older. Shoreline casting is popular but boat fishing options also exist.

July 9 Best Beach - Short Drive from Chicago
park review stars; one to five Spent an amazing day at a beautiful, clean beach less than a two hour drive from Chicago. Perfect for a day trip with the kids, only $8 per car and tons of parking close to the beach! Bring an umbrella or tent - not much shade available near beach.
