Trappers Bay State Park is a serene public recreation area located in Dickinson County, Iowa. Spanning approximately 91 acres, the park offers visitors picturesque views of Trapper's Bay on the west side of Lake Park.

Opened to the public in 1933, this state park has become well-known for its excellent fishing opportunities with species like walleye and northern pike abundant. The main feature includes a boat launch facility that provides easy access to Silver Lake.

Visitors can also enjoy picnicking areas equipped with tables and grills amidst lush greenery. While relatively small compared to other state parks, Trappers Bay delivers an intimate natural setting ideal for relaxation or angling enthusiasts looking for their next catch.
Fishing
Anglers can enjoy fishing in a 70-acre lake, home to species like bluegill, largemouth bass and yellow perch. Ice fishing is popular during winter months. Boating access for small crafts enhances the experience.



Birding
The park offers birdwatchers a variety of species, including waterfowl and songbirds. Birding is best in spring and fall migrations.
