Opened in 1992, sand lake campground provides modern bathrooms and showers. Electricity provided on each site, road and paths are paved. Campground is located on 1400 acres on seven lakes state park. Swimming beach, picnic shelters, boat/canoe rental, launches, hiking trails, boat and playground equipment available at Paul's concession. Metal detecting area.
Passes
The Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into state parks and recreation areas, state boat launches, state forest campgrounds and state trail parking lots. Park Store

Swimming
1. Seven Lakes State Park offers a designated swimming area in Big Seven Lake, perfect for cooling off.
2. No lifeguards are on duty; visitors swim at their own risk.
3. The sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing and building sandcastles before or after swimming.
4. Swimming outside the marked areas is not recommended due to boat traffic and fishing activities.
5. Restrooms, picnic tables, grills are available near the beach making it convenient for swimmers' use.

Boating
The 170-acre Big Seven Lake and and the 44-acre Dickinson are accessible from boat launch sites and allow motors at no-wake speeds.
Canoeing
Boat rentals of row boats, canoes, paddle boats and your-motor-on boats are available from mid-May to mid-September. Call the concession at 810-750-1977 or the park at 248-634-7271.
Fishing
Bluegill, bass, pike, tiger muskie and catfish can be found in the various lakes to challenge anglers of all ages. Fishing pier is accessible for shore fishing.

Seven Lakes State Park is located near Brighton, Burton and Clarkston

Day Use Area
Big Seven Lake is 170 acres with a boat launch, concession for snacks, beach, restrooms and changing courts. There are picnic areas with horseshoes, volleyball, and playground equipment, which can be used on a first come first serve basis.

Dickinson Lake, the second largest lake at 44 acres, provides another boat launch and a floating pier used for fishing. A rustic picnic shelter with large grills, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, volleyball and basketball. Seven Lakes State Park has five rentable picnic shelters, one being ADA acessible. Seven Lakes State Park offers picnic areas with tables and grills, a beach for swimming, and boat rentals.
Trails
An endless variety of topography and ecosystems form the area called Seven Lakes. Trail systems criss-cross the entire area. Many of these paths are worn down over the years by the local nature lovers, over 6.5 miles of trails are clearly marked as a designated trail system taking visitors beside two lakes, a stream and numerous swamps and low swales. Songbirds, muskrats, beaver, turtles, squirrels, deer, waterfowl, heron and many other species of wildlife call these wet areas home. This trail system is used by hikers, cross country skiers, snowmobilers (when there is four or more inches of snow) and mountain bikers.

Bicycling
A five-mile trail systems criss-cross the entire area. This trail system is used by hikers, cross country skiers and mountain bikers.
Birding
Birdwatchers can explore over 230 acres of water and enjoy spotting various species like the Red-eyed Vireo. The park's diverse habitats attract a wide range of birds, including warblers during migration season. In winter, visitors may see owls or finches among other bird types. Birding enthusiasts might also spot woodpeckers in forested areas.
