Bicycling
For cycling enthusiasts, the park offers a variety of trails suitable for different skill levels.

The terrain varies from flat to hilly, providing challenges and scenic views.

Mountain bikers can enjoy rugged paths through dense forests with steep inclines and declines.

There are also paved roads ideal for leisurely rides or family outings on bikes.

Remember that helmets are required when biking in this area due to safety regulations.

Be cautious as some trails may be shared by pedestrians; always yield right-of-way.

Check weather conditions before heading out since wet surfaces could increase risk of accidents.

Ensure your bike is well-maintained - brakes working properly, tires inflated correctly - prior to any ride here.

Always carry water bottles during summer months because dehydration can occur quickly under intense heat.

Birding
The park offers diverse birding opportunities with over 100 species spotted, including waterfowl and songbirds. Birdwatchers can explore various habitats like hardwood forests, pine stands and lake areas. The Mississippi Kite is a common sight during summer months while winter brings in migratory birds such as the Yellow-rumped Warbler.
