1. Quinsigamond State Park offers two main swimming areas: Regatta Point and Lake Park.
2. Both are located on the shores of Lake Quinsigamond.
3. The park provides lifeguards during summer months for safety purposes.
4. Swimming is allowed from dawn until dusk in designated swim zones only, marked by buoys or ropes.
5. Non-swimmers should stay within waist-deep water due to sudden depth changes in the lake's bottom surface structure.
6. The beach at Regatta Point has a bathhouse with restrooms and changing facilities available for swimmers' convenience.
7. Lake Park does not have such amenities but it's less crowded than Regatta point area.
8. Swimming lessons are offered through Worcester County Recreation Department every summer season at both locations.
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There are two boat ramps available, one on the north side and another on the south end of Lake Quinsigamond. These allow easy access to water-based activities such as sailing, rowing or motorboating. The lake is also home to several regattas throughout the year including college championships and Olympic trials due its 2,000-meter rowing course facility.
You can enjoy freshwater fishing in two main areas: Lake Quinsigamond and Flint Pond. Species include bass, pike, and perch. Boat ramps are available for easy access to the water. Ice fishing is also an option during winter months.
