August 23 by Gato
dogs and animals should not be allowed..
November 30 Beautiful Park by Virginia Wilson
MY husband and I visited this park,it is excellent,we plan to rent a cabin in the near future,it is such a beautiful park.
May 8 deserves 5 stars great park
only problem is that some guess are bringing thier dogs in swimming area taking them swimming, fetching pine cones and bathing them while children and adults are in water.(State park rules and reg.no pets allowed in or near the swimming areas)
July 2
24 hour access to park w/cars driving through at all hours. Closest bathhouse was old and in poor condition. Ants ruled the campsite and bathhouse. Did not see a park ranger patrol the campsite the entire time we were there. Pales in comparison to state parks in Tx, GA, or FL.
June 30 This is our favorite. by Homer
We love everything about this park. We go several times every year. The 4th fireworks display are great!!!
October 23 Fabulous Camp Sites & scenery by The Ellis Family
We stayed 2 nights this past week and found all of the campsites to be the best that we have ever seen. We have camped in the DC area all the way west to the Grand Canyon& Mohave Desert and these are the best sites and most affordable. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Keep up the good work all you guys @ Paul Johnson State Park.
March 28 very great camping
we stay ed there different times in 1997 to 2004 enjoyed shopping in Hattiesburg etc hope to get there again soon, frendly people and loads of shopping close by also great hosps near by, great landscape and we will be back....
July 16 We stay here all the time!
We love the park. Great lake, good atmosphere. The ranger is very very helpful. This is our home park and we love it!
February 2 Great Place
Extremely beautiful place with rolling hills, lake and relatively spread out camp sites. Staff very helpful. Restroom facilities are very clean but maybe need a few more. Some camp site are a bit far from restrooms. The whole park is very clean and serene. Not surprisingly busy in the middle of winter. There is some evidence of permanent dwelling despite the printed regulations. It seems that most dog owners are responsible as very little evidence of droppings to see. Water and electric seemed to work well. I will definitely be coming back and probably with the grandkids. Do bring a bike. A great place to ride.
December 3 Great for Families! by Irish Firefighter
Excellent grounds with well maintained facilities. Our visit coincided with a remodeling of the visitor center/recreation rooms, so we were not able to use those. Primitive area (where we camped) was small, but we found a nice nook in which to setup. The lake was beautiful with flocks of geese flying in all morning. Very clean park and the bathhouses were updated, very well maintained and toasty warm.
August 12 Better than expected
Beautiful lake, beautiful vegetation, very helpful rangers, swimming area, gate house with billiard hall/games and porch with swings and chairs, cabins with lake views. Will return!
July 13 our favorite park by [email protected]
quiet, serene, just about as relaxed as you will ever camp
June 30 One of our favorite parks by tooroberts
Excellent facilities. Rangers are very courteous and helpful. Great lake and fishing.
