KILLEARN GARDENS STATE PARK
Killearn Gardens State Park is a beautiful, tranquil space known for its diverse wildlife and lush vegetation. The park features an iconic 17th-century garden with azaleas, camellias and historic oaks draped in Spanish moss. It also offers several walking trails that meander through the woods around Lake Hall where visitors can enjoy bird-watching or fishing activities. This picturesque site provides picnic areas perfect for family outings while offering educational programs about local history and ecology as well.

History of the Area
Located in Tallahassee, Florida, this park was once a plantation owned by Catherine Murat from 1826 to 1867. It became state property in the late 1940s and opened as a public garden. The site features Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park's historic gardens established between 1923-1953 by New York financier Alfred Barmore Maclay.

Passes
Annual Entrance Passes can be purchased at all park ranger stations and museums. If you require immediate use of your pass, this is the best option. Passes can be purchased during regular business hours 365 days a year. Please call the park in advance to ensure availability. Those who are eligible for discounted or free passes may use this method to receive their pass. 1. Killearn Gardens State Park offers numerous picnic spots with scenic views.
2. Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park for public use.
3. Enjoy a lakeside picnic at Lake Hall within the park grounds.
4. Several pavilions available for larger group picnics or events, reservations required in advance.
5. The historic Gardener's Cottage provides an ideal spot for intimate picnics amidst nature and history.
