July 27 handicap access
the new extentions to the handicapped boardwalk are great now we can get all the way up to the water... have not been able to see the water in years. It is greatly appreciated
May 28 Really an error in judgment by bob
We have been going to the West End for over 30 years. It is the one unpoiled spot on the beach. In a tough economy, it is also the one place folks can go without worrying as much about damage to their budget. Yet, without any public hearing whatsoever, the Commissioner of Parks (or whomever made the decision) closed it down. How much was actually saved?
April 13 our favorite park by Leaneeee
How could they close a beautiful place like West End 2 at Jones Beach to the public? This is an atrocity. The only truly unspoiled spot your park has to offer away from the masses where one can enjoy nature and swim safely thanks to the experienced lifeguard corps present. Its our families favorite beach, New York park officials have lost their minds. Whats next the Statue of Liberty? WE2 is the sparkling jewel of your park. We are heart sick over this!
