HADDAM ISLAND STATE PARK
HADDAM ISLAND STATE PARK
Haddam Island State Park is a 14-acre island park situated within the scenic Connecticut River. Accessible only by boat, it offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy bird watching and fishing amidst lush greenery. The park remains largely undeveloped preserving its natural beauty with no facilities or amenities available on-site; hence camping isn't permitted here. Its isolation makes it perfect for those seeking tranquility away from bustling city life.

History of the Area
The 14-acre island was purchased by the state in 1944. It's accessible only by watercraft. The park is undeveloped and offers opportunities for fishing and bird watching but has no facilities or services available to visitors. Despite its lack of amenities, it remains a popular spot for boating enthusiasts due to its location on the Connecticut River.
