Fort Niagara State Park has two boat launches providing access to the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario, woodland hiking trails, swimming pools, waterslide, a view of Lake Ontario, picnic grounds, playgrounds, tennis courts, water fowl hunting and 18 soccer fields. In winter, visitors can cross-country ski, snowshoe, and sled. Adjacent to Old Fort Niagara State Historic Site.
Swimming
1. Fort Niagara State Park offers a large, well-maintained swimming pool for visitors.
2. The park's pool is open from late June through Labor Day.
3. Lifeguards are on duty during the pool's operating hours to ensure safety.
4. There are changing facilities and restrooms available near the swimming area.
5. Swimming in Lake Ontario at your own risk is also an option within certain areas of the park.
6. The beachfront along Lake Ontario provides beautiful views while you swim or sunbathe.

Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is a boat launch available, providing access to the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario for fishing or recreational boating. Additionally, canoeing and kayaking are popular activities in the area due to its calm waters and scenic views.
Fishing
Anglers can enjoy fishing in the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. Species include bass, walleye, salmon and trout. Fishing is permitted year-round with a valid license. Ice fishing opportunities are available during winter months.



Picnicking
Fort Niagara State Park offers picnic tables and pavilions, with stunning views of Lake Ontario. Grills are also available for use.
Bicycling
Cycling is a popular activity, with several paved paths available. Be aware that some areas may have heavy pedestrian traffic.

The park's terrain varies; cyclists should be prepared for occasional hills and uneven surfaces.

Bike rentals are not provided on-site so remember to bring your own equipment.

Always wear appropriate safety gear including helmets when cycling in the area due to potential risks involved.

During peak season or events, expect more congestion on trails which might slow down your biking speed considerably.

Please respect all posted signs and rules regarding bike use within this recreational space for everyone's enjoyment.

Birding
Birdwatchers can enjoy spotting various species, including waterfowl and songbirds. The park is a stopover for migratory birds in spring and fall.
