June 1 Be Aware by Wanda Bagley
Husband and I booked 10 days in Buccaneer and are leaving 5 days early, losing half of what we paid. When I made the reservation, I was very specific asking if they had a pool. Telling them we wanted to make sure because being seniors we would not be going to the beach. I was told they had a water park for which we would have to pay extra, I told them we would not be able to physically do that, then they told me there was a separate pool for others. They DID NOT tell me that pool was only 2 1/2 feet deep and you had to pay $6.00 per day to go in it. In 5 days we have seen everything in New Orleans and Biloxi and there is nothing to see in this immediate area. We expected to be able to enjoy the pool....not paying to step in an just get wet.
May 10 Will Return Soon by SandScampers
Park and its employees are nice. The facilities are clean, and kids loved the water park. The view of the gulf is awesome. Also have some very good local restaurants in the area.
November 10 first timer by Knot a happy camper
Visited park on 11/8/14 and was very impressed with Treasure Cove, lots of trees and vegetation to provide some isolation. All other areas had very few trees with no vegetation- reminded me of KOA which is like a camper parking lot. But during the night the noise from train traffic less that 500 feet away was a rude awakening, it sounded like the trains were going to join me in the camper it was so loud-impossible to sleep as 5 trains passed during the night, the last at 2:50 AM. In the morning I showered with the fragrant aroma of egg water, that was it I left without staying the second already paid for night and never to return. Wish the park personnel would inform first timers of these conditions at check in.

Went weekend of June 21, 2013. Park was very clean, nice playground for the kids. the Wavepool was a BIG hit! We liked it so much, we got the season pass because we will be back often. The park pool was still under construction, but coming along nicely. I would definitely recommend staying here.

June 6 Beautiful Park by Meme
Really a good stop for us and will be extra nice when the pool is finished. Restrooms were clean and nice, parking pads were asphalt and adequate for larger rigs.
We stayed for Memorial Day weekend. Even though the waterpark was not opened we still had a great time. This park is big, beautiful and very clean. The staff was very friendly and we were very impressed with how they watch over this campground, its a very safe place. We loved it and will be back soon.

Beautiful, love the rabbits! Great people at park very kind and helpful. Beaches are not crowded. Great shopping. We will be back!!
August 3 Boring
I visited Buccaneer State Park 8-3-12. It seemed to have several different places under construction. The park did not look like anything special, fancy and big. There was a lot of camp ground areas that was being occupied for a couple of people. The wave pool looked like it was under construction. There was a small childrens play ground with brand new looking equipment. The place is across from the beach. Which I would not recommend swimming in because with that water, there is no telling what could be in there that you can get hurt from, that is left from Hurrican Katrina. I will not be returning to this park until there is some major improvement. One park I can recommend that is very nice is Fountain Blue State Park in Mandeville, LA. Now that is a beautiful state park with a lot of activities to do. Absolutely gorgeous.

April 13 One of our favorite parks by M.J. Krankey
It is sad to know the state if Mississippi havs not moved on the very fast! Buccaneer was the number ones state park for years and years. I think the people in Hancock County should have some say about the park, like what they would like to have in the park and things that might help it come back faster. I think they should let you have Golf Carts in the park also.

Was a great weekend place to bring the kids. With recession on, Mississippi needs to get moving with its re-opening. It would be an economical way for people to spend quality time with their kids.
