Disney State Park is located by the flood gates of the Pensacola Dam. This park is a popular site for bass fishing and watersports, and offers picnic areas, lighted boat ramp, group picnic shelter, playground, and tent camping sites.
History of the Area
Located in northeastern Oklahoma, the park was established in 1955. It's named after nearby towns Disney and Little Blue.

The area is known for its limestone cliffs and scenic beauty along Grand Lake O' The Cherokees.

In addition to natural attractions, it offers recreational activities like camping, fishing, boating and hiking trails.

Despite being a popular destination over decades of operation, budget cuts led to its closure by the state government in 2011.

Since then local efforts have been made towards reopening this beloved site but no definitive plans are yet confirmed.

Fishing
Anglers can enjoy fishing in the park's two lakes, with options for bank or boat-based activities.

The waters are home to species like largemouth bass, catfish and crappie.

Fishing tournaments often take place here due to its abundant fish population.

A valid Oklahoma state fishing license is required before casting a line.

Nighttime bowfishing is also available within certain areas of the park.
