June 2 Spectacular scenery - worth the trip! by Rod and Pat
My husband and I were exhausted after Day 4 of our road trip to the Grand Canyon. We found Villanueva State Park on the map and decided it was just the place to rest our weary bones. After the long drive to the State Park off of I-40, We must say it was well worth the trip! The Park was very quaint and the scenery was breathtaking. It has been one of the highlights of our trip!

My husband and I have been coming to Villa Nueva for 13 years and we just enjoy the great tranquility, scenery and a place where you can just feel right at home. The management really does have pride in their work keeping the park awesome. This keeps your customers coming back. GREAT JOB!!!!!
April 14 great family place by Brad
This is a great place to car camp and go with those that dont want to rough it too much. It has well mantained campsites with grill, tables and shelter. The Pecos has great fishing and is a nice place to cool down in the heat. The area offers trails, beatiful views, history. There is a hot shower, electric sites, and a playground for the kids. Definately a place to get a feel for camping at an oasis in the Southwest.
September 23 An Oasis by Melinda Lively Granbury Tex
We were looking for a 1/2 way point to camp on the way home and saw Villanueva on the map. We decided to give it a try. I was very concerned where we were going after turning off of the interstate, but a few miles later we came to the most beautiful State Park I have see in a long time. Very well taken care of. It was like coming across an Oasis in the desert. We camped on the upper camping area and the sunset on the cliffs was BEAUTIFUL with the full moon rising above them. So quite at night and the stars were great! I plan on a return trip here for sure. The rest rooms were very nice. We were not able to stay for the program at the visitors center, but it sounded interesting. All I can say is, Villanueva is well worth the time it takes to get there. Just Beautiful!
July 30 workers are the best by Albuqueque, eve
My husben and I and daugher of 8 go camping at Vellanueva every summer. There is a little bit of everything there. Very cozy, campsite very clean, the hospitalty of the workers are the best, they make your stay very welcomed.
May 23 One of our favorite parks by DMan
Had some slight reservations about trying Villanueva as we preferred somewhat more secluded campsites. Tho the seclusion could be better the campground itself could not be. Offered 2 trails. Would have preferred more challenging ones, but they were very nice & very scenic. The river was beautiful. Foremost, this place is extremely well maintained. The stafff is courteous & takes great pride in their work. We WILL be back.
