3. Picnickers can enjoy scenic views of the river while dining outdoors in designated areas within this woodland setting.
4. The Agassiz Lodge provides indoor seating options if weather is unfavorable, complete with a fireplace and kitchen facilities.

Bicycling
Be aware, the park offers several miles of multi-use trails suitable for biking. Exercise caution due to varying terrain.

Mountain bikers can enjoy challenging routes with steep inclines and declines; helmets are recommended.

For a more leisurely ride, opt for paved paths that wind through scenic areas. Stay alert around pedestrians.

Winter months may offer fat tire bike opportunities on snow-packed trails but check conditions before setting out.

Children should stick to easier paths under adult supervision as some tracks might be too difficult or dangerous.

Remember: always respect nature by staying on designated pathways and keeping speeds reasonable in shared spaces.

Bike rentals aren't available within the premises so bring your own equipment if you plan to cycle here.

Nighttime cycling is not advised due safety concerns regarding visibility issues after sunset hours.

Birding
The park offers a diverse range of bird species, ideal for avid bird watchers. It's home to over 100 different types of birds including warblers, sparrows and woodpeckers. Birding trails are available with interpretive signs providing information about the various species found in the area. The best time for bird watching is during spring migration or early summer when many birds nest within the park.
