Nestled in the woods near Summersville lake is a hidden history gem. There are several trails, a couple of overlooks, lots of historical settings with discriptions, a neat little cottage with very friendly staff. The restrooms were emaculate, the playground perfect. They have park benches, picnic tables, shelters you may rent, and a paved road to run, or ride your bike. It is gorgeous with lots of wildlife!!

July 30 Beautiful! by Lovin WV

Although this park is very small, we thought it was a wonderful place to take our young children to teach them some of our states historical facts. We were very disappointed that the museum was closed, but it was still a good experience for our family.
