Park Visitor: Comments, Memories and Reviews
May 20 I love Beavers Bend by MT Dallas
We have been coming to Beavers Bend State Park for years. We loved it the first time we went and have ever since. The cabins are great, the people are wonderful and helpful. Love the Eagles and other wildlife. Great place to relax or be active.
March 16 by DC
We camped at Fern camp ground. Everything was great except the bathroom was absolutely unclean. Daily ran out of toilet paper around 1pm. Did bring more late in the afternoon. Bathroom filthy 24/7.
February 27 New set of horns ruins spillway camp by Noni
Only pay for 1 night to see if you can take the intensity of the new set of horns at the spillway. We had to leave early and only got a rain check.
May 7 Great fishing but very rude people by Jt
My two brothers and my dad and I have been to bearers bend three times. We have been harrased by game wardens and the people at tmountain fork are disrespectful and rude. The people at the flyshop are aholes. This has been the worst experience ever. Instead of a warning the park ranger gave my father and my 2 brothers a ticket for fishing on the bridge on our first day. I had to leave the area because he tried to pick a fight with me. My family came from Texas Missouri and kansas for our annually fishing trip and have to go to court on our last day here on vacation. We will never come back to Oklahoma! Horrible and rude people to out of towners. Absolutely disgusted. Beavers bend park avoid coming here. Worst experience in my life
September 16 We LOVE this park!!!!!!!!!! by An Edmond Couple
The wife and I went for 2 days and it was awesome. Nice, friendly staff, good food at good prices at the restaurant, good hiking trails, plenty to see and do. We will definitely be returning here over and over. Park is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this to people who love the outdoors. We love this place!
March 18 Great Spring Break Vacation by Jeff and Julie from McKinney
The park was very clean, the hiking trails were pretty well marked in places and the scenic views were all one-of-a kind. We enjoyed our stay and thank Oklahoma for their hospitality.

August 7 Deer raccoons eagles oh my by Fort worth
This is by far the best animal viewing area we have been to. Deer abound in the morning and lots of other guys at night. We got to see an eagle during late summer fishing in late afternoon. Awesome This park is great and will be back soon. Get some onion rings at the restaurant
May 26 Our kids loved it by Laura Frisco
We went to Beavers Bend State Park for our family vacation in August of 2010 and our kids (ages 5, 3 and 5mos) had a great time. There are way more trees than Dallas area where we live. And they loved wading in the lake and various rivers. However, we were very disappointed in the hiking trails. They were poorly marked and one trail was completely washed out in the place where it was supposed to cross the river. We still had a good time walking along the river, but it was really frustrating.
May 16 Beavers Ben State Park was a bust! by DallasBill
When we called to reserve our cabin we were told that the cabins cannot be reserved that they are first come first served. Great scenery, Fishing was good, Kayak was great. Good Bike trails, lots of Wild life, park was keep very clean. Water was a little high at the Marina but it did not bother us kayaking. Love the ice cream cart. Overall rating for the amenities 4, for the park itself 8+. But we won?t be back. Cost is high for wait you get.
March 30 New Year Tradition by DallasKat
We went for the first time for the new year with my sister, who has been going for years. Cabins are clean and comfortable and the scenery is awesome! Definitely going to make it an anual tradition, plus we may go at other times of the year as well. Their Customer Service is excellent too. I left my make up bag full of brand new stuff. They found it and mailed it back to me in Dallas. Save me hundreds of dollars of replacement makeup and skin care!
January 17 We go at least once a year
We live near Dallas and this is our favorite place to go if we need to just get away, even for a one-day trip. Our favorite things to do are to hike, kayak, and just drive around to see the scenery. Kayaking is about $12 or $15 for as long as you want, as long as you are back before the sun goes down. The little restaurant inside the park has great food and low prices. If you prefer to cook or picnic, there is a large grocery store just south of the park. There are always different things to see in the little nature center. One time we saw a litter of baby orphaned possums.
January 9 great winter eagle viewing. by paul and diane
if you can get a river front cabin in the winter your chance of eagle sightings are very good. the eagles love to fish when the warning horn sounds and the dam flood gates open. really cool.

October 6 The Best Escape by Atabaw
My family has been coming up to Broken Bow atleast 6 times a year (Dallas) the drive is worth it, reminds me of the Rockies - Great camping, tons of activities to do and the fishing is beyond awesome. The Rangers are super nice and protect their Park. And the ladies in the main office are like family.

My wife suprised me with a weekend get away. One of the most relaxing trips ever. Great fly fishing too.
September 7 Kids first camping trip by the Hooter Family
we had a great time, it was a beautiful park, well maintained. the kids loved the train ride and seeing all the deer just roaming thru the park. we had a camp site right on the water. took the canoe float down and had a great time. my kids 10 yr old girl and 4 yr old boy loved every minute of our two night camping adventure, their first camping trip ever. we will come back to this park for sure

July 26 Pet Owners Should Know New Rules by Pet Owner
We have been vacationing at Beavers Bend for years and have brought our small house dog every time. Recently we rented a cabin and drove 3 hours to arrive at the check in time of 3:00 PM. For the third or fourth time in a row our cabin was not ready plus we learned that the cabin we were assigned would not allow pets. The website still said pets welcome in all cabins and no one told us when we reserved that there had been a policy change. They offered us the cabin for an additional fee but by that time we were frustrated with the lack of organization and how it was handled. They did return our deposit but then we drove back home for 3 more hours. Our vacation was ruined. You should know that pets are no longer accepted in all cabins!!! In addition, if the cabins are not going to be ready by 3:00 PM because of late checkouts, charge the people who do not leave on time so those of us arriving have our cabins on time.
July 21 Just OK. by UnHappy
The camp sites are crowded and closer together than other state parks. The bathroom and showers were filthy and were never cleaned in our 3 day stay. The quiet time was not enforced and could not locate a ranger to help.
June 25 Great Park!
Really enjoy coming here!
June 18 by The Holdens
We love it there. Beavers Bend is great. We have been going for several years with the kids and grandchildren. Love the fireworks on July 4th.....

i was never bored.and the nature was fantastic
April 22 Excellent Display of Nature
I love the nature center and the events. They were particularly interesting as a child, and I would hope that all parents would take their children out to view nature at its finest and to touch, see and learn about wild animals.

We drive from Little Rock, Arkansas nearly every year to spend Halloween at the park. The haunted train ride, the nature center party with its haunted house, the pumpkin carving, the trail rides, the great food at the restaurant - all the events and activities are just wonderful!
