September 2 My Favorite Place

We own a vacation home nearby, but this park is my FAVORITE place to visit in the area. It is so peaceful and there is so much natural beauty. One year we were able to get a local Kayak company to drop off Kayaks here, and it was lovely kayaking up towards Camp Barnes. I LOVE the sand roads. I LOVE sitting at a picnic table in shelter just enjoying the quiet beauty. My husband and I came out with a little picnic to spend the afternoon of our anniversary last year. Very spiritual setting.

August 2 A+ by Potomacduck

Our family has visited many times, by road and boat, and always love the quiet natural surroundings and many, many birds. The crabbing and fishing is good and is now enjoyed by our grandkids as well as our adult kids! The watch tower is a favorite during fall/wintertime waterfowl migration. Highly recommend!

July 1 Quiet waters, pine woods, BIRDS by sibyl

Long stretches of marsh grashes line the bay shores, surrounded by pine woods. A quiet park well worth the visit as a real contrast to the nearby ocean beaches. Many, many birds.
