Ute Lake State Park, a Canadian River reservoir, offers some of the best walleye fishing in New Mexico. Anglers can also try their luck for bass, crappie, and catfish.
Nature of the Area
With its scores of inlets to explore, the lake abounds in ducks, quail, doves and pheasant. Deer and antelope roam the surrounding plains and mesas.

We have made it to ute lake at least ten times this summer and it never gets old. The beautiful scenery and awesome water makes for a relaxing weekend.

Our family really likes Ute because it is CLEAN, safe, and large enough to have fun on without getting too crowded. Just when you think it is small or getting crowded, keep going and you will find more lake and more areas to play or fish in!
