Fall Creek Falls State Park 'Fall Creek Falls' © Jason Vickers
A paradise of more than 20,000 acres sprawled across the eastern top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau, Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of the most scenic and spectacular outdoor recreation areas in America. Laced with cascades, gorges, waterfalls, streams, and lush stands of virgin hardwood timber, the park beckons those who enjoy nature at her finest. While Fall Creek Falls, at 256 feet, is the highest waterfall in the eastern United States, other waterfalls in the park are Piney and Cane Creek Falls and Cane Creek Cascades.

Great trails! - I just ran in the first annual Music City Ultra (10k) this weekend. The trails that Hardwin Adventures showed off in their first annual trail race here were really stunning, and I look forward to getting more opportunities to explore the miles of trails so close to Nashville! Would love to be involved with further development of the trail systems as well. Definitely come visit!!

Good fishing near by - Nice park but camping sites are very unlevel, small and just grave. Difficult to get into some of the spots due to close trees and narrow roads. Handicap spots very nice.

hot tub - it is shown that there is a hottub but in fact it has been broke for over a year. that is false advertising. i went there from MI and they acted as if I was supposed know this. i specificly went there to relax at the pool by the lake and could not. they said the pool was heated if that was heated id like to know when. it was so cold there was no one swimming. The buffet doesnt offer much for children we had to go to town for lunch and dinner.overall i was very disappointed in the stay.I will say that some of the staff was really nice and I liked the bigger towels and to light green bedding.

Miss the Lake - First trip this year (3/13) back to our favorite camping spot found that the lake has been drained to replace the footbridge. Hope they can replace the bridge and refill the lake soon.
