This 20-acre riverfront recreational area is in the city of Williamsport. The Williamsport Chamber of Commerce operates this park in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks.
Fishing
The park offers a variety of fishing experiences, including river and creek options. Anglers can catch smallmouth bass, walleye, catfish and muskellunge in the Susquehanna River. The nearby Deer Creek is home to trout species which are stocked annually by local authorities for recreational purposes. Boat launches provide easy access to water bodies within the park's boundaries.

Picnicking
1. Susquehanna State Park offers numerous picnic tables and grills for visitors.
2. There are three pavilions available to rent for larger gatherings.
3. Picnic areas provide beautiful views of the river or forested hillsides.
4. Some sites have playgrounds nearby, perfect for families with children.
5. Pets are allowed in designated picnic spots within the park.

Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts should be aware of the diverse options available. There are over 15 miles of marked trails to explore.

However, it's important to note that these paths range from easy to difficult in terms of terrain and elevation changes.

The multi-use trail system is shared with hikers and horseback riders, so cyclists must remain alert at all times.

For those seeking a challenge, there's an advanced mountain biking area known for its technical features and steep climbs.

Remember though: safety first! Always wear helmets while riding on any trail within this parkland region.

Also consider checking weather conditions before setting out as some routes can become treacherous after heavy rainfalls or snowfall events.
Birding
Birdwatchers can explore over 200 species of birds, including waterfowl and songbirds. The park offers guided birding tours.
