I waited three days, sunset, sunrise, thru crazy rain, then one morning, the sun painted the lighthouse with these amazing colors, I was standing ankle deep in one of the ponds, a gator about 40ft away, just watching me photograph.

Visitor Comments, Memories and Reviews
August 4 A place of solitude
When the high visitor times are not happening (Monarch Butterfly Festival, Whooping Crane Flyover, etc.), my family and I find this to be a very quiet and peaceful place. We love to go there to get away from Tallahassee as often as we can. Even when it is busy it is a beautiful place.
