| State Park Overview: |
 | State Park conveniently located between Meridian and Jackson, Mississippi, offers an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities in a picturesque setting. The park's scenic overlook provides a panoramic view of the Bienville National Forest. The gently sloping landscape is particularly striking during the fall, when the forest is bright with autumn colors. |

Worst cabins
I took pictures last year inside our cabin. It is a shame that the cabins have run down so bad and are not fixed. There are holes in ceilings, floors need to be fixed, and a host of other problems. My family comes every year and every year the cabins are worse. When are you going to fix them?

Great Time
We had a wonderful experience in both the cabins and primitive camping areas in January of 2008. The cabins were fine, all appliances were in good working order and the place was very clean. Cabins are not ment to be 5 star accomidations, but a hotel is also available if you need something less rustic. All the staff and rangers were very kind and helpful. Jackson is a short drive (20 mins) and you can eat dinner, see a movie, or visit Bass Pro. We loved it and plan to go back next winter.

Christmas Home
My family and I spend a week every Christmas at Roosevelt.
We have always enjoyed not only the park but the staff. We have become quite familiar with the park and what it offers. It is kept up very well and
it has one of the most challenging disc golf courses around. Keep up the good work see you in about three weeks.

One of our favorite parks
we enjoy camping.. the camp sites are great, very shaded and mostly privet. The kids enjoy the swimming pool and slide. And the Hubby loves the fishing. We love the cool afternoons and early mornings. Could not think of anything that could be changed.

Went and will be back
We went to Roosevelt last July. WE had such fun! WE stayed four nights and wished we could stay longer. WE fished, fed the dicks and crazy geese, met our neighbors, and RELAXED. The cabin was great. We want a bigger one next time!

Good but could be Great
My family and I spend weeks at Roosevelt every year. The staff is very friendly and the park is beautifull. If they would just update the bathrooms, beach area and build a few piers for boats/fishing this would be the best park in the state. The old deer habitat would be a perfect place for a play area for campers instead of having to drive over to the opposite side of the lake.

Tent campers beware.
If you make your reservation online with ReserveAmerica.com the information is incorrect. Their site states each camp site has a tent pad. This is almost 100% wrong. There are some places you could put a tent but you better go find them before you book. Someone may advise you to set up your tent on the concrete pad. There are two problems with this.
1. The pads are not level for a tent. You will need to put bricks under your cot legs.
2. It takes a real man to drive those tent pegs into the concrete.

Very beautiful and scenic
We went camping in the newer camp ground,it was a wonderful experience, except there were no litter barrels or dumpsters to be found, we looked all over the park and finally located one. I personally think that a lack of litter barrels, encourage people to litter.
