August 19 The Greatest by Bill Connely, Sr.
Was intrduced to the campground in 1983, so have been going for 26 years, except last year due to medical reasons, but did make it for a day outing. I spend 14-15 days each time there. Fantastic area. I agree THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER PAVED THE ROAD going there. But, progress moves on and even so it is still one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have been to even though it is rustic (which I like).
August 22 This is my favorite campground !!!! by Island Lover
We have been camping at Lionhead around 25 years. It is so beatiful here. So many things to do also. The beach is pure white & the water is crystal clear. You can hike up to the water slides, hiking trails, boating, fishing, upper Priest, pick huckleberries, biking, snowmobiling, four wheeling or do nothing but relax! Leaving tomorrow for 9 days!!! The only thing I would change about it is, THEY SHOULD OF NEVER PAVED THE ROAD THERE!! Since they paved it ALOT more people go up there. Big bummer!
