The musical entertainment is delightful! - The combination of a warm summer night, a beautiful sunset on the beach and good music. There is no better way to spend a summer evening. Its free too!
reservations - We have stayed in that park several times.IT IS NOT RIGHT TO HAVE RESERVATIONS.who ever makes them donot know what they are doing.we got there on a thursday afternoon and were told we could only have 2 nights.in the loop we stayed there must have been at least 20 empty sites.i have a veterns acess pass and that did not matter.we could only have a site for 2 nites that all the sites were reserved.in the morning the sites were still empty.having to wait a month to get a discount for the acess pass is rediculous.it should be first come first serve.nys needs to make a better way to serve the people who want to use the parks.
Our favorite park to camp at - Have camped there for 5yrs and really enjoy doing it, they have clean sites and nice cabins. We really enjoy camping there on our vacation. Just really wish that we could swim there also instead of having to go elsewhere to go swimming they should open their beach again, we do believe that people would enjoy the park and come more if they could swim. But it is still a nice park to go to.
Canadian Secret - 2012 will be our third summer at the park , in a cabin we LOVE it and please remember that the cabin will only be as clean as the person before you left it.If everyone was considerate to the next person it would not be a problem. We are from \canada and this is our hidden secret. We are keeping to ourselves and not telling everyone about the little peace of heaven we have found.
A great place but making reservations st - I love camping here but every year we try and get a cabin reservation and never can get one. I am at my computer on the very day we can make the reservation, you have to wait til 9 am and I click and click and every time I get beat out by someone else..Maybe one of these years I will get one
WOW! - This was the BEST campground we ever stayed at!
Improvements could be made to water system on the plateau, otherwise other NY State parks could learn from it!
Also, GREAT sunsets off Lake Ontario
There is no campground here - The campground no longer exists, have been closed for many years due to budget reasons. This error even still shows up on official New York State maps.
BEST SWIMMING BUT FILTHY CABINS - My family of 5 rented a cabin #7 in August 2011 for a week. We have to spend more than 1 hour to sweep, clean the cabin. The wooden floor was full of dirt and spider webs are everywhere. On the contrary, the park is a very tranquil place with one of the best/clean swimming beaches. The pond is half barren with some fish. Be ware to bring your own heavy duty cleaning supplies including mop & wringer if you have young toddlers.
Nice clean place - Other then a pesky racoon that tore a nice size hole in my camp kitchen canvas bag, and the freezing cold shower every morning because there was no hot water in the shower in the upper loop due to some issues they were having with the pump house ( thats what we were told ) it was an all around nice place to stay.
Great Place to Stay - My family and I recently enjoyed our stay at this park. The pool was excellent, the showers were very good (water was hot in morning and cool in evening), only downfall was with owners not following the guidelines for their pet (dog). Stores are close by, very quiet and everyone very friendly.
Great Time - I have five kids from 1 to 7 an everyone had a blast. Its set up so you dont have to worry about your kids takeing off. I feel very safe takeing my kids their to play. if you want to have a fun time an not have to worry i suggest that your children to the spraypark n for only $7 who can go wronge!!!!
