March 6 Best Park in Maine by Tess
Okay, so I may be a little biased, but there are amazing mountains for all ability levels, the campground is gorgeous on many many acres. The swimming is perfect. Boat rentals reasonable. Nearby is Coos Canyon to jump off cliffs into mountain stream water. And the nature center is quite good . Movie night in the ampitheatre is always a highlight as well. NOT to be missed. And my personal favorite part is renting a boat to boat across the lake to have a quick snack on the deck of the Kawanhee Inn before boating back. And the rangers are lovely.

May 15 Kayaking was a Blast! by Lazy Paddler
We kayaked the lake and had beautiful scenery. The mountains are gorgeous!!! Bring the bug spray. But worth it to get out and paddle on such a great stretch of water!!
August 9 Great Expectations by Joyce
We have visited several other state parks this season but this was our first visit to Mount Blue State Park. It wasn't what we expected. First, the chemical toilets/ out houses were loaded with flies and the smell was so bad that they we basically unusable. Secondly, several of the other guests in our area were very loud( well beyond reasonable noise for close quarters) during the day as well as during the quite time. There were children constantly screaming, adults fighting and swearing and car radios blaring. Thought we did see the park rangers drive through a few times, their truck windows were closed. The other parks we visited had camp hosts as well as the rangers who were more visible which seemed to keep the order. To say the least we did not have a relaxing or pleasant experience. I hope that my comment will be taken seriously. Mount Blue is a beautiful area with many great hiking trails. We would like to visit another year but without being assured of a better experience we will not.

i was a park ranger from 1957 for four season.we had 27 campsites on the lake side, amphitheater loop area.we mowed sides of roads with a grass hand scythe.the ranger station was on the beach where the bathrooms are located.i stayed there until the lake froze and moved to a room at hq. we had 12 wooden rowboats to rent and every year they had to be varnished.what a chore. we put new cedar shingle on the north and south shelte as wel as the large building with fireplace on the beach.. over the years i have visited the park as well as campedthere and it is still the most treasured and beautiful spot i have ever seen

The rangers at Mt. Blue State Park are very helpful and very informative. They go above and beyond to help you find things around the camp. Plus the sites are immaculate!!!
September 12 #1 On my list by Jessica
Mt. Blue state park is awesome...My family went every year and I have some of the best memories ever that came out of that park. Always something to do there, never a dull moment. Even as an adult now I still go every year.

May 24 the best park ever by john centeio
I have been coming to this park year after year since I was 4 years old. I have encountered my first bald eagle 2 years ago while enjoying a sandwich at the center hill trail. The views are breathtaking, and the hiking is incredible.
