- i was a park ranger from 1957 for four season.we had 27 campsites on the lake side,amphitheater loop area.we mowed sides of roads with a grass hand scythe.the ranger station was on the beach where the bathrooms are located.i stayed there until the lake froze and moved to a room at hq. we had 12 wooden rowboats to rent and every year they had to be varnished.what a chore. we put new cedar shingle on the north and south shelte as wel as the large building with fireplace on the beach.. over the years i have visited the park as well as campedthere and it is still the most treasured and beautiful spot i have ever seen

Amazing Place! - The first time I visited Quoddy Head I was absolutely amazed with the views. I will be returning again this year as I just cannot imagine going to Maine and not going to Quoddy Head!
If I have to pick one word I would have to say BREATHTAKING!!!!
A Big Experience - The cliff walk is amazing. Plenty to photo and sketch. The lighthouse guides are friendly and informative. We spent a week in Lubec and I came to the park nearly every day.
Incredible Visit - Though It was quite a while ago my girlfriend and I went, it was an Incredible visit. We happened to view a few Bald Eagles doing a courtship dance in the air, man, you talk about incredible flying
- A great park with challenging trails and jaw-dropping views. Very accessable and interesting. Rest rooms near parking area. We loved it and will return.
A great place to hike - Great diversity on the two main trails. One issue is the standing water on the Pond Trail prior to exiting. Need to work on drainage. Hearing the sound of the water on the hiking trail is excellent. Since the trail finally got marked it is so much more pleasant. Great place to enjoy what Downeast Maine offers.
A romantic view - There is nothing i love more than to look over the harbor. Camden offers a wonderful dining experience and quaint harbor viewing. Mount Battie has spectacular views, great shopping, wonderful art museums and the air or romance all around.
