Neglected Lincoln Site
After a bitter winter Abraham canoed from here to New Salem on the Sangamon River, which cuts through this site. His family went further south. It is pretty but neglected. Kayak access is a little difficult. No camping facilities. Restrooms are OK. Worth exploring. May be improved in the future.

Lincoln Trails
Very lovely place. Haunted Cemetary. (if you believe) Very peaceful. Nice place to have a birthday party in the summer. Good place to take your kids fishing at the river. No canoe/kayack access unless the river is low enough, but the access is past the park going south, and on the right hand side before the bridge you will see a trail that goes right down to the river. If the river is low enough, you can sit right in the middle of it and enjoy some basking in the sun
