The lake was muddy along the banks but further out the water was just as clear as you could ask for. The camp ground was neat and well maintained. And the bathrooms were clean and well stocked every time I went to them. I was very impressed and enjoyed our weekend there immensely.
The only negatives were that the store at the entrance of the park had very few supplies (including milk and charcoal) but there were plenty of other stores within an easy drive. The second, and more serious, negative was that the fire ants were really bad. But the gentleman that managed the camp grounds came around every day and when we pointed out the mounds, he promptly treated them.
