Kring Point State Park is a narrow peninsula whose south shore faces Goose Bay and north shore faces the St. Lawrence River. Standing anywhere in the park, visitors see water and many of the 1700 islands for which the region is named. Half of the 100 campsites are on the waterfront and virtually every cabin and campsite has a river or bay view. The park has docks on the river and the bay and a sandy beach on the St. Lawrence. Fishing, boating, swimming and picnicking are major activities. During the winter, visitors cross-country ski.
Swimming
1. Kring Point State Park offers a designated swimming area in the St. Lawrence River.
2. Lifeguards are on duty during specific hours for safety purposes.
3. Swimming is only allowed when lifeguards are present, typically between late June and early September.
4. The park's beach also has picnic facilities nearby to enjoy after swimming activities.
5. There's no pool; all swimming takes place in natural water bodies within the park boundaries.

Boating
In this park, visitors can enjoy a variety of boating options. There is a boat launch available for those who bring their own vessels and docks are provided for easy access to the water. Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities due to calm waters surrounded by beautiful scenery. Motorboats are also allowed in designated areas within the park's boundaries, offering opportunities for fishing or simply enjoying a day on the water.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing in the clear waters, home to Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch. Boat rentals are available onsite.

Picnicking
Kring Point State Park offers scenic picnic areas with tables and grills. Pavilions can be rented for larger gatherings.
Bicycling
While exploring the park, you can enjoy a leisurely bike ride on its paved roads. Be mindful of vehicle traffic.

Off-road biking is not permitted to protect natural habitats and prevent soil erosion.

Ensure your safety by wearing helmets and following all posted signs for speed limits or restricted areas.

Bicycles are prohibited from hiking trails due to potential damage they may cause to these sensitive environments.

Remember that cyclists must yield right-of-way when pedestrians are present; be courteous at all times.

Rentals aren't available within the park boundaries so bring your own bicycle if planning this activity during visitation hours.
Birding
The park is home to various bird species, making it a popular spot for birdwatching. Birders can observe waterfowl and songbirds in diverse habitats like marshes, forests and open waters. The park's location on the St Lawrence River attracts migratory birds as well.

October 31 Paradise by Michelle
park review stars; one to five Beautiful park, very hard to get a reservation here. I would suggest to the Big Rig owners, try camping down the road just past Clayton where they have full hookups, including sewage. Is also a great park for kids, a club house and day long festivities . Kring is more of a retirement community. Not a kid friendly park.
October 21 A great place but making reservations st
park review stars; one to five I love camping here but every year we try and get a cabin reservation and never can get one. I am at my computer on the very day we can make the reservation, you have to wait til 9 am and I click and click and every time I get beat out by someone else..Maybe one of these years I will get one
October 15 I love this place by Ed
park review stars; one to five I have been going there for over 37 years. I agree it would be nicer if they would clear the overgrowth so you could dock more boats. I especially like Krings family store.
