Kings Mountain State Park rests in a picturesque setting adjacent to Kings Mountain National Military Park, a prominent Revolutionary War battle site. This traditional state park, which encompasses 6,883-acres, offers outdoor recreation activities such as hiking trails, picnicking, fishing from a rental jon boat, seasonal canoe rentals, equestrian trails and more.

Guests can also re-live the life styles of early pioneers by visiting the Living History Farm. The park was originally built in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps and evidence of their stonework and craftsmanship is still present today.

I had a very positive experience, and the park staff was very friendly. I went fishing and was extremely happy with my overall visit. The park is safe and clean.
August 30 Great Park! by runefairy
Kings Mountain State Park is one of our favorite places. It is a beautiful site with a lot to see and do. The Rangers are extremely helpful and the campgrounds are very nice!
June 24 A nice place to relax by Wes
Staff were very nice and the trails were well maintained. Quite a hike to the camping grounds for tents but plenty of fire wood and clean restrooms when we got there. Will be back for sure!
June 18 parking tickets by Dan
They are more interested in giving out parking tickets than in maintaining the park and allowing runners to park in obscure areas.Go to the Federal Park. Much more user friendly!
January 11 Beautiful Scenery, Helpful Park Rangers!
was able to see lots of wild life. rangers were very helpful.
October 24 Nice equestrian trails by HJE
My biggest problem is that I cannot seem to locate a trail map for equestrians or figure out what all the different colored flags are along the trails. We were lucky to finally get back at the road, then we knew we could get back to our horse trailer. I can see how easy it would be to get lost!
October 24 favorite park by evonne
gary is a wonderful host for the park.my husband has rsd and he helped us so much thank you gary
October 12 filthy bathrooms by clementine3
Park employees spend a lot of time sitting around smoking in their golf carts. Bath houses were disgusting and in major disrepair.
June 25 nice park, but biting flies are bad
this is a nice park but had a hard time finding anybody to ask questions. No park rangers
