September 6
Loved the shelter. It was a great stop for us!
December 6 Convenient to Santa Fe by Doug
dusty, noisy, park authorites are demanding and not friendly. Not well managed. stay next door at Black Canyon it is very nice, friendly and so clean! We use Black Canyon frequently and unlike Hyde have never had a bad experience.
September 3 Ok to just spend the night by traveltrailer
The drive there had pretty trees but the trailer/rv campgrounds were nothing to write home about, very steep entrance to sites so watch out if you have a low trailer or rv. During the time we were there the water taps were chained up without notice or any signs why. Later found out water may have been unsafe.
August 15 New York City of New Mexico Parks by Sleepless in New Mexico
If you enjoy the commotion of any large urban city you will love this park. Traffic rumbles past your campsite within 100 feet or less 24 hours a day on a major road to the Santa Fe Ski Area. When we camped, we clocked about 300 cars per hour during the day, at night about 20 cars per hour. Children screaming at the top of their lungs with no parental supervision, rowdy parties until 1:00am will make you feel like you are in the middle of Times Square. Very few clean bathroom facilities just adds to the charm of the park. Rangers respond to complaints with blank stares.
July 25 Beautiful Evergreens. by day-hiker
Had an exilerating hike up the loop trail, steep but satisfying.
