This year the water levels have been extremely low but this has not convinced the sky to back off on the fireworks which have been as dramatic as ever. Here the small remaining pools reflect the drama above them.
I spent the weekend there with my life partner Wesley, he and I would swim in the beautiful waters, cuddle under the stars, and eat the best smoked ribs from this cute old man who sold them to us. If you have an amazingly beautiful life partner like I do, spend time with him here. I love you Wesley R! I love you too high falls!
We camped in a fifth wheel and the sites were level, wide, and easy to get into. Lots of pull-throughs. We will visit here again. We stayed in May 2010
My husband and I are traveling through Georgia and thought we would stay in a State Park. We selected the High Falls State Park located in Jackson, GA. The campground cost was $25.00 for one night stay.
We found a campsite and decided to check out the area. We were very disappointed that two out of the three restrooms/showers had pad locks on them. The only bath house open was dirty and in need of repair. The cost to stay at a private campground would be an additional $5.00 but all that we have stayed thus far have been really clean restrooms/showers, have cable TV and internet.
We were really disappointed with our findings and wanted to share them with you. It does not really speak well for the state run campgrounds.
GREAT PLACE FOR THE FAMILY. IF YOU LIKE THE QUIET'STAY BY THE LAKE, BUT IF YOU ARE MORE OF AN ADVENTURER YOU MUST SEE THE RIVER SIDE OF THIS PARK!!!!!!
