On the Hell Creek Arm of Fort Peck Lake, this park provides facilities for most water sports, as well as, excellent walleye fishing. Hell Creek also serves as a launching point for boat camping in the wild and scenic Missouri Breaks. Hell Creek State Park has a seasonal camp host, vault and flush toilets and boat ramp. There are 55 sites (no hookups) and a maximum length of stay is 14 days during a 30 day period. The park is at an elevation of 2,318 feet and encompasses a sprawling 172 acres.

1. Hell Creek State Park offers a designated swimming area in the Fort Peck Reservoir.
2. The reservoir's clean, clear water is perfect for cooling off during hot summer days.
3. Lifeguards are not on duty; swimmers should exercise caution and swim at their own risk.
4. Swimming outside of the marked areas can be dangerous due to boat traffic and fishing activities.
5. Water shoes are recommended as some parts have rocky bottoms or sharp shells that could cause injury.
6. The park does not provide any rental equipment like floats or life jackets so bring your own gear if needed.
7. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult while swimming in the reservoir.

Boating
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. It is home to the largest marina on Fort Peck Lake, providing ample space for boat storage and launching. The lake itself is ideal for various water activities such as fishing, sailing or simply cruising around in motorboats or kayaks. Boat rentals are also available within the vicinity if you don't own one but would like to explore the waters.
Fishing
You can enjoy fishing in a beautiful setting, with options for shore or boat angling. Species include walleye and northern pike. Smallmouth bass are also present along the shoreline areas. The park's marina offers easy access to water for boating enthusiasts.
