Dans Mountain State Park is a day use park with rugged mountain terrain, and an Olympic-size pool and waterslide. June 3 The Best by One of the Millers

Originally, the entire Lonaconing side of Dans Mountain contained two home farms. My great grandmother grew up on one and my great grandfather on the other. The stone wall dividing the two farms still exists, and it is worth the climb up the rest of the hill to the top to view the old homestead, a hunting lodge and burial ground, with a view of Cresaptown on the opposite side. The view of Frostburg and Garrett County is breathtaking from the Park itself. How I love that Park!!
