November 6 a great place to see cranes and swans

Crex is one of my favorite birdwatching destinations. The wind is your constant companion, interrupted only by the bugle calls of the cranes as they come in to land. The drives and overlooks are well-planned, shetered picnic sites available, and there is a great small shop in the interpretive center. Also, Crex is not far from the International Crane Center!
