September 3 Labor Day Weekend by dcriggs
What a Great way to spend one of the last weekends of summer. We came to camp and see our son that goes to Chadron State College. Wow, this Park has so much to offer....tomahawk throwing, archery, swimming, trail rides, fishing, and paddle boats. We had a Great time. Shower facilities were clean and showers were hot. It was a fantastic long weekend and we look forward to visiting again.
November 27 Absolutely awesome park! by BIll and Rebecca
This area of Nebraska is one of the most beautiful in the world. Warm and sunny during the at night. The cabins are basic but nice.
August 26 Home, not far away from home. by Brian Jung
I grew up in Chadron, the Park was one of my favorite spots to go as a child. I really enjoyed the paddle boats and the lake as well as the untamed forest. That whole area, even town, is all a fond memory for me that I hope to share with my children.
June 12 HOT showers! by Disappointed
Chadron State Park is a gorgeous place. The grounds were meticulously maintained; great camp sites. Sadly however, we will not return for the simple reason that the bath house facilities were extremely poor. The bath house itself poorly ventilated - hot and stuffy. The shower was scorching hot and not adjustable. I complained, but it was still hot the next day. I was told others also had complained. Then, when I went to get clothes out of the dryer, a blast of hot steam hit me as I opened the door.I thought something was on fire, but the dryer had no vent to the outside. I think the state of Nebraska needs to pay more attention to these amenities that many campers still require. It was of great discomfort to try to stay in the shower long enough to bathe and wash my hair. I wondered how small children could stand it at all.
May 29 Great for families by Gorillaguy
We went last year for a family reunion and booked our cabin for the following year before we left. This place has something for everyone. We enjoy the relatively easy hikes for kids, the swimming pool and fishing in the lake.
October 31 AWSOME by Bob and Carol Baynes
This park, staff and trout leave nothing to be desired. The trees have all been trimmed.
September 4 Great Family Vacation
We stayed at CSP for our first time this August and absolutely loved it! There were enough activities to keep the kids entertained, all kinds of walking trails and very clean nice cabins. We will definitely be going back!
August 21 A Great Park but--- by David L.
watch out if you have a motorhome and want to camp. There are a lot of overhanging trees to scratch your clear coat finish. I ended up with a couple of scratches. Fort Robinson is much more motor home friendly (full hookups vs. 30 amp only sites at Chadron.)
