BOILING SPRINGS STATE PARK
Recreational facilities include 10 RV sites with modern hookups and pull through sites, 29 semi-modern back-in sites and tent campsites. Modern sites have 50amp/30amp service and semi-modern sites have 30amp service. The park also offers four cabins, two group camps, security, a swimming pool with concession stand and changing house, restrooms with showers, playgrounds, fishing spots on Lake Shaul, picnic areas, group picnic shelters, outdoor grills, hiking trails and wildlife viewing. Boiling Springs Golf Course, an 18-hole course, is located next to the park.
Located in Woodward County, Oklahoma, the park was established in 1935. It is named after its natural "boiling" springs.
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) developed it during the Great Depression as part of New Deal programs.
In addition to building infrastructure like cabins and roads, CCC also planted thousands of trees across this area.
It became a popular destination for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and swimming due to its unique geothermal features.
Today it covers an expanse of over 800 acres with diverse wildlife including deer and wild turkey populations.

1. Boiling Springs State Park offers a large swimming pool for visitors.
2. The park's pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
3. Lifeguards are on duty during the operating hours of the pool.
4. There is an admission fee to use the swimming facilities in this state park.
5. Children under 12 must be accompanied by adults at all times while using the pools and water areas.
6. The park does not allow any kind of inflatable devices or toys inside its public swimming area.

Boiling Springs State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters. Some sites overlook the beautiful spring-fed lake.
Cycling enthusiasts can explore various trails, but be aware of the terrain's occasional steepness and rough patches.
Mountain biking is popular here; however, it requires a certain level of fitness due to challenging routes.
The park offers bike rentals for those who didn't bring their own equipment - remember safety gear!
While cycling around the lake area provides beautiful views, caution should be exercised near water bodies.
Biking at night isn't recommended as there are no lit paths within this recreational facility.
Please note that cyclists must yield to pedestrians on shared-use pathways throughout the grounds.
Remember: always respect wildlife when biking through natural habitats in this scenic location.
1. Boiling Springs Nature Trail: This 0.6-mile trail offers a gentle walk through the park's forested areas, showcasing local flora and fauna.
2. Lake Loop Trail: A scenic route of approximately one mile that circles around Shaul Lake, offering views of waterfowl and other wildlife.
3. Sand Dunes Interpretive Trail: At just under half a mile long (0.4 miles), this short hike takes visitors across sand dunes with interpretive signs explaining their formation process along the way.
4. River Walkway Path: An easy walking path stretching for about two miles alongside North Canadian river providing beautiful riverside vistas throughout its length.
5. Bison Ridge Hiking Trails: These trails are spread over three different paths totaling to an approximate distance of four miles; they offer hikers panoramic views from atop Bison ridge while traversing diverse terrains including grasslands and wooded sections.
6. Woodland Hills Walking Track: It is located near campgrounds spanning roughly one-third of a mile in length where walkers can enjoy serene woodland surroundings at leisurely pace without any steep inclines or declines making it suitable even for beginners or those seeking light exercise only.
7. Oak Savannah Loop - Prairie Dog Point Section: Approximately 1/10th Mile loop starting from prairie dog point picnic area leading into oak savannah landscape giving glimpses into unique ecosystem prevalent within Oklahoma region during pre-settlement era which has been preserved here as part nature conservation efforts by state authorities.
8. Fox Den Hollows Mountain Bike Route: Though primarily designed keeping mountain bikers in mind, this five-mile-long track also welcomes hikers who wish explore rolling hillsides dotted with fox dens adding element adventure to hiking experience.

Extremely popular course for mid to low handicappers. Too tough if just learning due to extremely scenic and undulating terrain, lots of wildlife, narrow fairways and tons of trees. Absolutely gorgeous and fun to play, especially in fall.
We Had a great time. Every thing was nice and clean. Cabins in good shape. Fold out couch bed not so much. Might think of cot or air mattress. Kitchen well stocked. Life guards did a great job keeping the pool in great shape. Aspin, Tanner and Blade were friendly with the guest and still made sure we were all safe.
Lots of wood for fire. Bring bug spray.
